I have closed my medical practice.
The last year has invited – and at times forced – me to examine health, healing, and the resilience of the human body and spirit from entirely new angles. It has ushered in major shifts in my professional endeavors. It is with a heavy heart that I must report that I am closing my practice effective September 17, 2018.
I will therefore take this opportunity to sing the praises of two of my esteemed Portland-based colleagues:
Dr. Amy Johnson offers primary care to patients of all ages and walks of life, loves treating digestive and hormonal conditions, and is an herbal medicine wiz. She also accepts many types of health insurance, and is happy to see my patients for acute issues.
Dr. Daniel Chong is a brainiac in all things cardiovascular. He is an orthomolecular nutrition nut, an advocate of plant-based diets, and is also well versed in prescribing and managing testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for men.
I would trust either of these compassionate and competent individuals with my own healthcare or with that of a loved one. Dr. Johnson has a patient portal login, and can quickly access your records without any preparation on your part. Should you wish to consult with Dr. Chong or another provider, however, you may want to download your previous treatment plans, lab results, prescriptions, and vitals off of my patient portal to share with your next provider. This is available to you instantly and free of charge. You are also of course welcome to formally request a records transfer, but note that this can take up to 30 days to process.
Finally, dear patients, I wish to express my deep gratitude for your continued commitment to show up for yourselves and your healing. There is no better teacher – and no greater source of inspiration – than you. Thank you for entrusting me with the special task of helping you achieve a greater level of health and happiness all these years.
Yours in Healing,
